March 2014

March 2014

The year kicks back into action in March and ended up being a very busy month. Here are a few highlights

Rollacoaster raced back into action in March, with a new DVD/CD released in April "Past, Present and Future Ten" the band completed four engagements this month from Heathrow and Cheltenham. Good to be back performing again and looking forward to dates coming up in Moscow, Dubai and Aberdeen! Here's Chloe's "selfie" from the Cheltenham evening.

Mary Black / Clannad in Cambridge

Great evening at The Cambridge Corn Exchange with Mary Black and Clannad in concert. A great double bill and the second time in a year I've manged to catch Clannad in concert with selctions from the new album "Nadur" and their classics.

Gregory Porter

What an amazing performer. Managed to see Gregory Porter in concert at The Stables in Milton Keynes. An incredible singer and winner of the recent "Best Vocal Jazz Album" Grammy. Have a listen to him on  Gregory Porter "Hey Laura"

Dubai / Singapore

Another flying visit around the world as we pitch for some more International dates. Managed to catch the Singaporean skyline from down in the bay

Marina Bay Sands, this hotel is on the "must play" list

ABC Performing "The Lexicon Of Love" In Birmingham

Finally despite jet lag and a 15 hour flight from Singapore home via Dubai got to see ABC performing the seminal album "The Lexicon Of Love" with an orchestra complete with Anne Dudley conducting. This album still sounds amazing some 25 years on and includes the hits "Posion Arrow", "The Look Of Love", "All Of My Heart" and "Tears Are Not Enough" One of my favourite ever albums.

Holiday!

Despite all of this managed to get away at the beginning of the month for a week in Lanzarote just for a short chill.

Look out in April for the release of Rollacoaster's "Past, Present and Future Ten" and back into the studio with Gayle and Stewart to record some new material.

See you next month
